Phil lives in Albemarle, North Carolina and has been performing on stage for over forty years. He previously played with The Dekades, The Boogie Band, Hot Smokin’ Brass, Full House and Hip Pocket. His main musical influences are the Pop/Funk horn bands such as Chicago, Tower of Power, Earth Wind and Fire and The Blues Brothers. When not performing he enjoys spending time with his family and recording in his home studio.

It’s Melissa Starling Bass from Clinton, NC. Remember me? Uncle Joe and Aunt Sally’s neice from the Pope side? It’s been a long time. I knew you were playing in a band, but didn’t know which one and then I thought I had heard you had moved to another group. I saw your pic on the flyer for the Pasture Party coming up in May in Dunn…not too far down the road from Clinton. Hopefully I can attend and maybe I’ll see you there…
Aunt Sally told me that Jessica went to UNC-G this past fall? Not a little girl anymore…time flies!! I have a 13 year old son, Connor, who keeps me busy…we are at some kind of “ball” event all of the time…mainly soccer and basketball…any way…good to see you on the internet…good luck with the band…I love beach music and I am usually at any event around Clinton that is playing Beach and Pop/Funk…can’t wait to hear you and the guys. My friend Randy and I love to shag…we go to The Regency in Dunn some too! Glad to get rid of this COLD Winter we had and on to the SUMMERTIME!
